本书是美国著名女诗人艾米莉·狄金森的诗歌选集，亦是复旦大学文学翻译研究中心和美国狄金森国际学会（Emily Dickinson International Society）联合发起的“狄金森合作翻译项目”的项目成果。包含了狄金森诗作104首，每首分为英文诗、中文诗、注释和解读四部分，并配有狄金森手稿图片。

中方合作者既有狄金森和美国诗歌的译者和研究者，如董恒秀、李玲、刘守兰、罗良功、周琰等，也有一批活跃在当代文坛的诗人，如冷霜、王家新、杨炼、周瓒等，而北美合作者主要由一批狄金森资深学者组成，除两位学界领袖米勒教授和史密斯教授之外，还有狄金森国际学会两位副主席莫斯伯格（Barbara Mossberg）和德普曼（Jed Deppman）、《狄金森百科全书》主编埃伯温（Jane Eberwein）、狄金森权威传记作者哈贝格（Alfred Habegge...
